Auto Transport Ohio

Ohio is a great lakes state that experiences typically mild winters and humid summers. While there are still some road hazards associated with auto shipping, the winters do not normally get anywhere near as harsh as to require enclosed shipping to protect vehicles. There is some risk of tornadoes as Ohio is a mid-west state but such environmental concerns are few and far between. Unlike Michigan, Ohio does not have any large bodies of water that could cause delays in auto shipping due to bridge crossings or outages. The capital, Columbus is one of the largest shipping hubs due to its central location in the state.

Ohio is not a flat state and, thus, many rock formations tend to surround highways through the area. This can cause some danger of falling debris but the risks are nowhere near as marked as in many other northern states. When shipping through Ohio, it is appropriate to use an open hauler unless the customer is shipping a rare or exotic vehicle.

Ohio has one of the most developed network of highways in the country, 10th in fact, and its close proximity to several major cities such as New York, Detroit and Chicago makes it a frequent passing for auto shipping companies.
